Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring an EMS Adjunct Instructor for Clackamas, Oregon on a per-diem, part-time basis. The role covers EMT, AEMT, Paramedic courses, and standardized courses (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS). The instructor will deliver labs, coordinate patient care scenarios, and ensure lessons meet current standards.

Requires a minimum of 3 years as a Paramedic and preferred instructional experience or instructor certification. DOE and local authority requirements apply.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years progressive experience in a field/clinical setting as a Paramedic.
  • Experience as an adjunct instructor preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Completion of an approved Instructor course preferred, specifics as required by local governing authority.
  • Instructor of either PALS or PEPP or EPC preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that practice and theory are current according to national standards and current evidence informed practice.
  • Serves as an instructor/facilitator in skill labs and patient care scenarios using program tools.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of student performance.
  • Evaluates students in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains and provides feedback.
  • Represents content for each course as agreed with the Program Manager.
  • Supervises students in clinical areas as scheduled.
  • Remains current with EMS requirements, policies, and procedures.
