Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking an EMS Adjunct Instructor for St. Louis, MO. This part-time, per-diem position involves teaching EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, and standardized courses (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS) with pay between $30.00 and $35.00 per hour.

You will deliver content, coordinate patient care scenarios, and supervise skill labs as part of our College of Emergency Services instructional team. Qualified applicants have 3+ years as a Paramedic, adjunct teaching experience preferred, and instructor

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years progressive experience in a field/clinical setting as a Paramedic.
• Experience as an adjunct instructor preferred.
• Associate degree preferred; instructor course preferred per local authorities.
• NREMT preferred; MO Paramedic license required or preferred.
• Instructor certifications (BLS/ACLS) preferred; PALS/PEPP/EPC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures practice and theory align with national standards and evidence-based practice.
• Facilitates skill labs and patient care scenarios using approved teaching tools.
• Maintains accurate documentation of student performance.
• Evaluates students across cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains and provides feedback.
• Delivers content for courses as coordinated with Program Manager.
• Supervises students in clinical areas as scheduled with Clinical Coordinator.
• Maintains current EMS requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Represents as an instructor for standardized courses when required.
• Builds positive working relationships with staff and students.
• Delivers presentations applying adult learning principles.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information and works under pressure.
