Job summary

The Per Diem Adult and Pediatric Emergency Medicine APN or PA at Hackensack Meridian Health provides patient-centered, coordinated care in the emergency department. The clinician collaborates with the hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for patients with health and safety needs.

This role requires leadership and ethical decision-making within a fast-paced environment. Minimum of 2 shifts per month, preferably evenings, nights, and weekends, with required NJ licensure and NP/PA

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
