Job summary

Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a Per Diem Psychiatrist to support the Emergency Department and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service at Greenwich Hospital. The role involves comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and crisis intervention for a diverse patient population.

The position requires an MD/DO with Psychiatry residency, CT license and DEA; NY licensure within six months is covered by the hospital.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
• Active CT medical license and DEA registration.
• New York license required within six months (costs covered).
• Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred; Board-Eligible considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment in ED/CL settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of psychiatric care.
• Support productivity and quality initiatives of the Psychiatric Treatment Center.
• Foster compassionate, patient-centered care across the lifespan.
• Participate in teaching and mentorship of residents and medical students.
