CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Per Diem Echocardiography Technician. The role covers infants to geriatric patients, performing routine and specialized echocardiography studies, stress testing, and Holter analyses.

You will maintain logs, ensure accurate billing, and stay current with techniques and safety standards. The position requires one year of pediatric echo experience, BLS, EKG interpretation certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One-year previous experience in Pediatric Echo required.
• Previous experience in Holter scanning and cardiac stress testing.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to assist/perform stress testing (must demonstrate competency within 30 days from date of hire).

Responsabilités

• Performs Echocardiography studies as medically prescribed by a physician, including routine, stress, dobutamine, and transesophageal studies.
• Maintains accurate logs and records of all procedures and ensures proper billing.
• Assists or performs cardiac stress testing (pharmacological and/or exercise tests).
• Maintains current knowledge of echocardiography techniques and equipment relevant to patient age.
• Cleans and performs quality control of equipment and ensures preventative maintenance.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate age-appropriate care and safety measures.
