Job summary

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists in Dennis, MA is seeking a per diem ECC/ICU Veterinary Technician to join our passionate emergency team. You will support doctors, handle triage, admission, hospitalization, and discharge.

Ideal candidates have two years of ECC experience, current CVT/LVT/RVT, and a willingness to pursue further credentials such as VTS ECC or RECOVER certification.

We offer a flexible schedule with swing, overnight, and weekend shifts, plus competitive hourly rates and on-call pay.

Qualifications

• Two years of veterinary ECC experience is required.
• Experience in anesthesia and monitoring emergency procedures.
• Current CVT, LVT, or RVT; licensure within six months preferred.
• VTS (ECC) preferred, or plan to pursue.
• RECOVER certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be available for open shifts or on-call.
• Assist doctors and team in triage, admissions, hospitalization and discharge.
• Monitor vital signs and provide critical care support.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and diagnostic imaging.
• Assist clinicians with induction, monitoring and recovery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team in inpatient and outpatient settings.
