Job summary

Civita Care Meadowbrook in Granby, CT is hiring a per-diem Dietary Aide to join our dynamic culinary team. No experience is necessary; on-the-job training provided. 3:30p-7:30p, weekly pay.

As a Dining Services Assistant, you will follow therapeutic diet cards, ensure proper serving temperatures, assist the cook, and maintain sanitation and appearance of dining areas. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must be able to follow oral and written communication.
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of the dining service areas.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm with residents.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors and the public.

Responsibilities

• Follow therapeutic diet cards as ordered by the physician.
• Ensure proper serving temperature of the food and beverages.
• Assure delivery on a timely basis.
• Maintains visual appeal of the food and emphasis on the use of garnishes.
• Adhere to daily nourishment list and stock nourishment stations.
• Assist the cook in monitoring of meal serving times.
• Adhere to sanitation and storage policy and procedure.
• Other duties assigned by the dining director.
