General Summary

The Radiology Tech completes quality imaging on a variety of patients requiring X-Ray’s and/or CT studies.

Description Of Essential Duties
  • Produces high quality diagnostic images with proper scan protocols.
  • Participates in QA activities, maintains patient logs and RIS forms.
  • Keep Repeat/Retake percentage below 7% monthly.
  • Understand and perform computed radiology, image processing, archiving, and sending images to PACS accurately.
  • Ensures Patient Safety, pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic techniques.
  • Communicates effectively with patients and providers about findings and test results.
  • Checks equipment operation, maintains cleanliness, stocks supplies.
  • Adheres to organizational values and protocols.
  • Follows security policies, reports on performance, supports quality metrics.
  • Supports team, completes daily checklists, participates in huddles, maintains inventory, and completes tasks timely.
Education & Experience
  • Associates Degree required.
  • 1 Year relevant experience.
  • Active State of Florida License, AART Certification, BLS certification.
  • Ability to work independently, standing and working up to 12-hour shifts.
  • Travel within local facilities (50-mile radius).
  • Bilingual preferred.
Physical & Mental Requirements

Includes lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, repetitive motions, and constant communication. Ability to prioritize, pay attention to detail, and follow procedures is essential.

Additional Information

Employment type: Full-time, Entry level, in the Healthcare industry, with travel requirements minimal. Environmental exposure varies.
