Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams of head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine and extremities.
• Review orders and patient history to confirm the correct exam and protocol.
• Screen patients for contrast allergies, kidney function and pregnancy.
• Start IVs, administer IV contrast and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Position patients and operate CT equipment with proper technique and dose optimization (ALARA).
• Explain procedures to patients and keep them informed.
• Adhere to department and facility safety protocols.
