Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Milton is seeking a CT Technologist for per diem shifts. Under the clinical direction of a Radiologist and the CT Supervisor, the technologist operates a CT scanner to obtain diagnostic images while following established policies and procedures.

Requirements include ARRT registration in Radiology and CT, Massachusetts license, BLS, and at least 1 year of diagnostic radiology experience (CT experience preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current license by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and registered by the ARRT in Radiology and CT.
• BLS with American Heart Association required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Diagnostic Radiology experience; CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams following established policies, procedures, and protocols in a manner that meets patient needs and departmental workflow.
• Explain the procedure to patients prior to the exam, verify orders, and obtain pertinent clinical history.
• Administer iodinated contrast material when ordered and demonstrate venipuncture techniques.
• Set up equipment, perform image acquisition and reconstructions, and ensure high-quality images while observing radiation safety.
• Maintain outpatient work schedule and coordinate with management and vendors for equipment upkeep.
