Concern Housing is a non-profit agency committed to helping individuals and families live in the community with dignity and enhanced opportunities through housing and support services. We serve approximately 1,300 individuals and families in over 240 locations, offering a variety of housing options with individualized support services designed to support personal growth and independence.

We are seeking a Per Diem Counselor to join our growing agency and provide relief coverage at our Hempstead location. Per Diem allows you to work around your schedule while gaining experience and knowledge in the non-profit, social work field. This is a great opportunity for professional development, for college students, or individuals looking for supplemental income with flexible hours.

Flexible shifts are available 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Provide site or program coverage as needed.
• Monitor medications as needed and required.
• Document client contact, collateral contracts, and relevant information.
• Assist clients with household/apartment responsibilities as needed.
• Provide transportation in agency vehicles for clients as needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed and assigned by supervisor.
• Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.

Salary: $20/hr.

Position Requirements:

Per Diem Counselors are required to have a High School Diploma or equivalent and some experience in a similar setting or education in the field of Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field.
