Job summary

Pine Acres Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team on a PRN, per diem basis. You will assist in providing occupational therapy services under the direct supervision of an Occupational Therapist, helping residents regain motor skills and perform daily activities in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications include a current Iowa COTA license, graduation from an accredited OTA program, CPR/BLS certification, and strong

Qualifications

• Must hold current Iowa COTA license.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OT Practice Act.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under supervision of an OT.
• Experience in long-term care or rehab settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in occupational therapy and activities under OT supervision.
• Interviews residents to assist OT in determining health status and recovery rate.
• Documents services in the resident's medical record.
• Schedules and coordinates therapy sessions with nursing staff as instructed by OT or Rehab Director.
