Job summary

Coronado Ridge Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Henderson, NV is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary team. You will assist therapists in designing and implementing personalized treatment plans to help residents reach maximum functional potential.

This per diem role requires Nevada COTA certification, the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team, and strong communication, organization, and EMR

Qualifications

• State of Nevada COTA certification.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with EMRs and healthcare technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in the design and implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents to achieve their maximum functional potential
• Perform occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and modalities, under the supervision of the occupational therapist
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate resident progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Participate in resident care conferences and case studies to ensure continuity of care
• Utilize exceptional communication skills to interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members
