Job summary

Health First in Palm Bay Hospital seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a per-diem days position. The CNA will assist licensed personnel under RN supervision, deliver basic patient care, and communicate with the health care team to ensure timely information flow.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe environment, accurately recording patient information, and supporting patient comfort and satisfaction. Florida licensure requirements and BLS training are needed to start.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Certified Nursing Assistant Course and scheduled to take Florida State exam.
• CNA licensure in Florida within 120 days of start date or licensure in another state with Florida licensure in process.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card prior to start date and maintained.
• English language proficiency for written and verbal instructions.
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers basic care to patients as directed in a clean and safe environment.
• Communicates effectively with health care team and patients.
• Accesses IV solutions, medications and supplies as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment and uses supplies economically.
• Collects, records, and reports accurate patient information.
• Performs routine procedures and supports other staff.
• Provides service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
• Contributes to patient experience with satisfactory scores and bedside shift reports.
• Demonstrates and supports positive unit financial performance.
