Job summary

Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) for a per-diem role. The CLS will handle specimen processing, perform tests, and report results while providing patient care support across laboratory sections.

Responsibilities include maintaining accuracy, complying with CLIA and state regulations, stocking supplies, and keeping equipment clean.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire
• 1 year experience in clinical laboratory in area of responsibility
• 1 year must meet CLIA requirements for testing personnel, moderate to high complexity tests

Responsibilities

• Process specimens, perform tests, report results and provide clerical/patient care support.
• Provide service in one or more laboratory sections with high accuracy, precision and timeliness.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and stock supplies; ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Serve patients of all ages and work within regulatory standards.
