Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (per diem) to perform waived and non-waived testing under CLIA guidelines. The role requires independent work, accurate results, and adherence to SOPs, with supervision from the Laboratory Manager.

Starting rate $31.43/hour; onsite at 2014 Washington Street; per diem schedule; benefits and comprehensive compensation discussions during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or laboratory sciences is required.
• Clinical Laboratory Sciences certificate/diploma is required.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling and processing.
• Maintain records of proficiency testing samples.
• Adhere to QC policies, calibrations and maintenance.
• Follow corrective action policies when tests deviate.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and report.
• Document corrective actions taken.
