Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. This per diem/as-needed role supports high-volume clinical lab operations, handling specimens, data entry, and routine maintenance while emphasizing accuracy and safety.

You will be part of a production-oriented lab, working with a collaborative team to meet turnaround times and maintain quality standards. Training and growth opportunities accompany a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years or more of medical/lab or production experience in hospital lab setting.
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
