Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at Ascension St. John Owasso Hospital in Owasso, OK. This per diem role supports high-volume clinical lab procedures and aims to deliver accurate results to improve patient care.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science, or Medical Technology, and either 1 year of lab testing experience or an MLS degree. Certification (ASCP/AMT) is preferred. Per diem schedule, flexible shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
