Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to patients in the IR. The nurse is supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills, and collaborates to maintain the care plan for vulnerable patients.

Required Qualifications

• Essential skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform duties successfully
• Customer service skills appropriate to the role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain an appropriate work pace
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system
• All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Knowledge and education to obtain RN license in California and current license
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of one year of interventional radiology nursing experience, including scrubbing procedures, conscious sedation, injection procedures, and teaching (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of university and medical center policies and procedures
• Teamwork and problem-solving skills in patient care related to radiology procedures
• Initiative in patient throughput and staff education
• Computer literacy and excellent customer service skills
