Job summary

Norwalk Hospital is seeking a Child Life Specialist for the Emergency Department on a per diem basis. You will assess psychosocial needs of pediatric patients and their families, develop care plans with the healthcare team, and provide developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities to minimize stress during hospitalization.

The role requires CCLS certification, a Bachelor's in a related field, and experience with children of various ages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred in pediatric care or child life.
• CCLS certification required.
