Job summary

Saint Francis, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Chaplain to join the Spiritual Care team. The Chaplain addresses the spiritual needs of patients, families, and colleagues, focusing on distress, grief support, crisis intervention, and major life changes.

As a fully integrated healthcare team member, the Chaplain develops and conducts programs of spiritual care to promote healthy communities, welcoming collaboration with faith leaders from churches and mosques as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in theology, Religion, Spiritual Care or Spirituality or equivalent
• 1–3 years of Spiritual Care experience; CPE training preferred
• Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) strongly preferred; endorsement from a CHEA-accredited program recommended

Responsibilities

• Address spiritual needs of patients, families, and colleagues as part of the spiritual care team
• Develops and participates in programs of spiritual care to promote healthy communities and collaborate with faith leaders when appropriate
