Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Chaplain Associate - Spiritual Care for a Per Diem/Relief role at Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA. This Level II trauma center requires on-call coverage and collaboration with the Spiritual Care team.

The associate chaplain provides direct spiritual care for patients, families, and caregivers, supports ethical decision making, and facilitates reflection during crises, aligned with PeaceHealth mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Divinity, Theology, Religion, or related field.
• Master's Degree preferred in Divinity, Theology, Religion, or related field.
• One ACPE Certified CPE unit required.
• Provide documentation of endorsement from an endorsing body upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist people through immediate and emerging crises/trauma.
• Facilitate meaning-making during crises and spiritual journeys.
• Provide and document interventions; request follow-up as appropriate.
• Offer holistic spiritual care for patients, families, and health care team.
• Assist in ethical decision making per ERDs.
• Notify and involve faith community leaders when requested.
• Respond to traumas, codes, and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
