Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's or associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field.
• Must have a New York State License.
• ARRT Certification is preferred.
• Medical background (EMT, CMA, Medical Assistant) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient's identity and review physicians’ orders before x-ray procedures.
• Use X-ray equipment to take radiographic images.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
• Position patients during procedures.
• Limit patients' exposure to radiation using lead shields.
• Ensure sound quality of X-rays to prevent repeats.
• Work closely with the resident Radiologist.
• Maintain x-ray equipment and notify management of issues.
• Keep accurate records of completed procedures.
