What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the intake of members or admission/discharge information post-notification
- Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, and the clinical team to manage service requests
- Process incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations efficiently
- Provide triage and care coordination notifications for non-clinical assessments
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues from members and providers in a high-volume environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work a per diem schedule, including rotating holidays and weekend shifts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the healthcare industry and with healthcare insurance
- Background in clerical or administrative support
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
- Experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid Services
- Call center experience
