Job summary

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization's Cardiology team is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join the outpatient practice at the MaineHealth Miles Campus in Damariscotta, ME. The RN will work with cardiologists, APRNs, and MAs to deliver patient-centered cardiovascular care.

The role focuses on patient assessment, triage, care coordination, medication management, diagnostic testing, and education to help patients manage heart health.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available)

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and perform triage via telephone and in-clinic.
• Coordinate care and communicate with cardiologists, APRNs, and MAs to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Manage medications and order/interpret diagnostic tests as ordered by physicians.
• Educate patients and families about cardiovascular health and treatment plans.
• Assist in care planning and care coordination across the cardiovascular team.
• Support outpatient cardiology operations and contribute to a patient-centered care environment
