Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is hiring a Registered Nurse for 3 West, Cardiac Vascular. This is a per diem, on-site position on the university campus with part-time hours.

The RN will use the nursing process from admission to discharge, perform assessments, plan discharge, and coordinate care with the team. Licensure in MA and BLS are required; ACLS current is preferred; BSN is highly preferred. Signing bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
