Job summary

Atria Health and Research Institute in Beverly Hills, CA seeks an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiograms and assist in the cardiovascular lab. The role requires RDCS or RCS certification and 5+ years of clinical cardiac experience, with BLS/CPR current and ACLS preferred.

Independently handle imaging procedures, troubleshoot equipment, monitor patients, and support the cardiology team to ensure high-quality patient care. Weekend availability possible.

Qualifications

• Certification: Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI).
• 5+ years of clinical cardiac experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Current BLS/CPR; ACLS preferred.
• Maintain CMEs to keep credentials active.

About The Role

• Performs echocardiograms and exercise stress echocardiograms of a non-invasive nature in accordance with established practices and procedures
• Provides expert assessment, evaluation and prepares preliminary interpretation and documentation for cardiologist’s review
• Applies knowledge of anatomy, physiology, positioning and imaging techniques to optimize the quality of ultrasound images
• Works collaboratively with the clinical team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care
• Assists in the proper functioning of the cardiovascular lab including, but not limited to, maintaining clean equipment and re-stocking the lab with supplies, as necessary
• This role will be performed independently with minimal supervision
• Requires troubleshooting technology issues that arise as needed
• Perform vital sign monitoring and assessment
• Maintains daily log of patient procedures
• Performs variety of ad-hoc duties as necessary
• Experienced with Phillips Ultrasound machines is a plus but not required

Compensation

$70-82/hr based on years of experience

Requirements

• Requirements
• Certification: Active RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) through ARDMS or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) through CCI.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of clinical cardiac experience. Proven experience in a "Charge," "Lead," or Senior capacity is highly preferred.
• Life Support: Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Maintenance: Must maintain the required CMEs to keep credentials active and in good standing with accrediting bodies.
