Job summary

Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Per Diem Cath Lab RN to ensure safe and efficient catheterization procedures. The role supports diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease in a fast-paced cath lab environment.

The position requires the ability to assist during procedures, monitor patient status, and operate cath lab equipment, with a commitment to ongoing learning in cardiac care advancements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state required.
• ACLS/BCLS certification required on hire.
• 1 year CV Lab or critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, obtain medical histories, and prep for cardiac catheterization.
• Assist cardiologists during procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, EP studies and other interventions.
• Monitor post-procedure patients and provide discharge instructions.
• Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment (hemodynamic monitors and more).
• Respond quickly to emergencies or complications during procedures.
• Document all aspects of patient care and procedural details.
• Stay updated with advancements in cardiac catheterization techniques.
