Job summary

Kessler Rehabilitation Center in North New Jersey is seeking a Per Diem Athletic Trainer to support a variety of athletic partners across North Jersey, including high school, collegiate, and hockey settings. A NJ licensed athletic trainer or upcoming new grad is required.

The position offers exposure to diverse environments within a premier sports medicine network and requires coverage for practices, games and events, with duties that include injury assessment, first aid, concussion testing

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.
NATA certification required.
Current NJ Athletic Trainer license or eligibility.
Current CPR certification required.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Provide coverage for practices, competitions, tournaments and events.
Assess and manage athletic injuries and illnesses.
Administer first aid and emergency care when needed.
Support concussion baseline testing and return-to-play programs.
Conduct athlete screenings and injury prevention initiatives.
Collaborate with coaches, athletic directors, physicians and rehabilitation professionals.
Maintain documentation and injury tracking records.
Assist with sports medicine education and community outreach.
