Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a PRN Anesthesiologist to join the anesthesia team across multiple sites within the St. David’s Health Care system. The role provides per diem coverage with competitive hourly rates and a focus on collaborative patient care.

Responsibilities include comprehensive anesthesia management, pre-anesthesia evaluations, informed consent, and coordination with the care team to ensure safe induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified.
• Current medical licensure.
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent.
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed.
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
