Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia seeks a per diem anesthesiologist for HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL, a certified Level I trauma center serving central and southern Illinois.

Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, informed consent, induction, maintenance and emergence, plus case coverage across general, ortho, cardiac, pediatrics and OB, with intraoperative monitoring and safety oversight.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.

Responsibilities

• Case assignments across general, ortho, cardiac, pediatrics, OB, and more.
• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Manage patients under anesthesia and ensure safety during procedures.
• Pre-anesthesia assessment.
• Obtain and verify patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition.
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed.
