Job summary

NAPA Anesthesia in Elkton, MD seeks an Anesthesiologist for a per diem role at ChristianaCare Union Hospital. The provider will deliver comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures, perform pre-anesthesia evaluations, and develop anesthetic plans in collaboration with patients and the care team.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $200 and requires completion of an Anesthesiology Residency, board eligibility or certification, and current medical licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified.
• Current medical licensure.
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent.
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed.
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
