Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist for the Milstein building to help patients regain independence and live fulfilling lives. You will join an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality care on the 8 am–4 pm day shift.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hospital-based acute care experience, a New York State OT license, and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• New York State Occupational Therapy License required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Minimum of two years of hospital-based acute care experience required.
• Demonstrates competency in clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and provide treatment programs for patients to improve daily functioning.
• Provide skilled intervention using techniques appropriate to goals.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team in adult acute care to treat a caseload predominantly in orthopedics, neurology/neurosurgery, medicine, cardiac, and oncology.
