Job summary

Forest View Hospital is seeking a per diem Activity Therapist to provide activity and group programming for adults or adolescents in an inpatient setting. The role focuses on assessing, educating and developing recreational, social, leisure and daily living skills to support patient recovery.

The position offers flexible per diem hours to meet patient care needs and supports a multidisciplinary team in a behavioral health environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Therapeutic Recreation from an accredited program; CTRS required.
• Or 2: applicable Bachelor's or Master's with appropriate mental health licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide activity and group programming for inpatients and adolescents.
• Assess, educate and develop recreational, social, leisure and daily living skills.
• Teach patients to interact with families in a constructive way.
• Develop productive skills for vocational and daily living activities.
• Provide opportunities to identify leisure strengths and interests.
• Assist Nursing Team with safety duties and support.
