Job summary

Saint Mary’s College of California invites applications for Adjunct Faculty (per-course) to be assigned instructional work in the Nursing program. The candidate must be approved by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the BRN five content areas.

The Faculty member is accountable for leadership and management of the instructional work and content performed as assigned, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards and the California Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing or BSN with at least three years of nursing experience.
Approved by BRN to teach one of the BRN five content areas.
Current and unencumbered California RN license.
Three years of direct patient care within the last five years.
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student body, staff and administrators.
Experience using computers and other technologies for teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional work across two clinical sections.
Lead and coordinate instructional activities and ensure program policies are followed.
Adhere to accreditation standards and California Nurse Practice Act requirements.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure quality course design and student outcomes.
