Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Laboratory Setting, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Rapid flashing lights, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Various outside weather conditions, Warehouse, Will work with hazardous/toxic materials, Working at heights

How Will You Make an Impact?:

The Peptone Equipment Operator will perform manufacturing operations associated with the production of animal-based peptones.

  • Competitive Hourly Pay Rate - $22.98
  • Day Shift
A Day in the Life:
  • Prepare raw material for use in digest kettles.
  • Setup and operate digest kettles, steam kettles, and filter presses. Setup and load product in dryers.
  • Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of processes.
  • Record production data, such as quantities produced and quality control measurements. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform autonomous maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure efficient performance.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and suggest ideas. Perform other duties as assigned by a Supervisor.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • No previous work experience required
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field is helpful
  • Experience in a cGMP environment is helpful
Physical Requirements/ Work Environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in wet and humid environments.
