Job Description

Primary Location:

SUMMARY: CDL A Required

Drives truck over established route to deliver and merchandise products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Drives truck to deliver beverage products to customer's place of business in highway, rural, and city street conditions in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  2. Works without direct supervision.
  3. Effectively resolves customer complaints.
  4. Effectively communicates issues and customer concerns to supervisor.
  5. Records delivery, buy back, and variance information on daily delivery record.
  6. Responsible for rotation of displays, coolers, and back stock.
  7. Operates hand trucks and/or electric pallet jacks.
  8. Displays beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and on the sales floor of retail stores to attract attention of prospective customers.
  9. Arranges products according to prearranged plans or own ideas approved by management.
  10. Constructs or assembles display aids from company-provided Point of Sale (POS) materials.
  11. Places price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, or floor.
  12. Cleans shelves, coolers, and other display structures regularly.
  13. Transfers products from customer stock rooms to designated floor or cooler displays to comply with "Sell By" dates, maximize product in store, and minimize stock room inventory.
  14. Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
  15. Conducts and/or supervises truck loading and unloading and secures loads.
  16. Issues or obtains customer signatures on receipts for pickup or delivery.
  17. Cleans inside of truck. Performs daily inspections and routine maintenance on fluids, air, and oil.
  18. Wears company-provided safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety standards and procedures.
  19. Wears company-provided uniform and presents a professional image to customers and at the workplace.
  20. Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Starting at $24 - $26 hourly, DOE

No experience required, local delivery only

Average schedule: 6 am to 3 pm

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Communication Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence. Effective speaking and presentation skills in one-on-one and small group settings.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Basic algebra and geometry knowledge.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Problem-solving skills involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in electronic/manual data entry using handheld and desktop devices.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must meet company driver qualifications.
