PEPI: Manager, Private Equity, Fund Management Solutions (OPEN TO ALL US LOCATIONS) (Finance)

Description

OVERVIEW:

A&M Fund Management Solutions collaborates with private equity managers to optimize their business operations. Our aim is to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks related to non-investment activities, and provide hands-on operational support to PE firms.

Our CFO Services encompass the following pillars:

  • Strategic Analytics & Planning
  • Performance Measurement & Management (Funds & Management Company)
  • Business Transformation
  • Investor Reporting
  • Valuation
  • Treasury Functions
  • Operational Review and Improvement (e.g., HR, Administration, Technology & Insurance)
Professional Expectations
Data Collection, Validation and Analysis
  • Guide team members in information gathering, ensuring comprehensive data collection from all relevant sources.
  • Lead client interviews, ask insightful questions, and understand stakeholder perspectives.
  • Identify knowledge gaps, challenge existing assumptions, and develop improved ones.
  • Pinpoint business challenges, inefficiencies, and assess organizational structure and roles.
  • Present issues and opportunities clearly and concisely.
  • Understand accounting and finance processes, especially how information consolidates into the general ledger, to promote improvements and value creation.
Project Management and Implementation
  • Own and complete workstreams within the service pillars.
  • Ensure project approaches, timelines, and deliverables are logical and achievable.
  • Set clear client expectations.
  • Create actionable plans to optimize investment processing, instill a process-oriented culture, and enhance transparency.
  • Identify risks early, develop contingency plans, and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Recognize areas where service pillars are not functioning optimally.
Leadership
  • Leverage experience to guide and inspire teams to innovate.
  • Assess team members' skills and maximize their contributions.
  • Share knowledge, provide coaching, and promote professional development.
Financial Acumen
  • Build and review financial models, conduct analyses, and evaluate accounting treatments.
  • Offer insights and improvement initiatives to senior management and boards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 7-10 years in Accounting, Finance, Due Diligence, Investment Banking, or Private Equity, preferably with experience at a fund/asset manager.
  • Degree from an accredited 4-year college/university in relevant fields preferred but not required.
  • CPA, CFA, or Master's Degree is a plus but not mandatory.

The salary range is $125,000-$190,000 annually, based on education, experience, skills, and location. A discretionary bonus is also offered.
