Job summary

Pep Boys / Mavis Tire is seeking a full-time General Service Technician in the Hamden, CT area to perform essential maintenance and tire services, helping customers stay safe on the road. You'll train on the job and work with experienced automotive professionals to build hands-on skills.

Responsibilities include mounting/dismounting tires, oil changes, checking fluids, and basic inspections; a strong commitment to safety and teamwork is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures

About the General Service Technician Position

As a General Service Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance and tire services that help keep our customers safely on the road. You'll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while developing valuable hands-on skills.

To be eligible for the General Service Technician position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age

Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Physical Requirements

General Service Technicians must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive and tire service. Technicians must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
