Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes is hiring General Service Technicians for our Pittsburgh, PA area centers. The role offers paid training, a full-time schedule, and a $800 new hire bonus. You’ll perform essential tire and maintenance tasks and grow within the nation’s largest automotive service organization.

This paid training path supports skill development, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop environment, with opportunities for career advancement across alignment, mechanics, and management tracks.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
• Performing flat tire repairs.
• Oil and filter changes and checking vehicle fluids.
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Identifying tire and maintenance concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Following safety and service procedures to ensure quality service.
• Help ensure timely completion of customer vehicles.

About the General Service Technician Position

As a General Service Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance and tire services that help keep our customers safely on the road. You'll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while developing valuable hands-on skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles

Qualifications

To be eligible for the General Service Technician position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States

Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Physical Requirements

General Service Technicians must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive and tire service. Technicians must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
