Mavis Tire is seeking experienced Automotive Mechanics for full-time roles in the Carteret, NJ area. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, including brakes, tires, and general maintenance, keeping customers safe on the road.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs.
• Preferred: State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Responsibilities

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service

About the Position

As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep our customers safely on the road.

Physical Requirements

Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair. Mechanics must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
