Job summary

Pep Boys / Mavis Tire is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic for our Bridgewater, NJ service, repair, and tire sales center. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to keep customers safely on the road.

Responsibilities include undercar repairs, diagnosing needs, oil/filters, parts replacement, tire work, and state inspections where applicable. We offer competitive weekly pay, weekly incentives, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive repair and maintenance experience or training.
• Must have personal tools to perform repairs.
• Be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.

• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids

About the Position

Qualifications

To be eligible, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs

Preferred:

State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements

Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair. Mechanics must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
