Job summary

Pep Boys, now part of the Mavis Tire family, is hiring Automotive Mechanics in the Wake Forest, NC area to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles. The role offers competitive weekly pay, weekly incentive compensation, and solid career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years automotive repair and maintenance experience.
• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Own the personal tools necessary to perform automotive repairs.
• State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services.
• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, suspension, and steering.
• Mount, rotate, and balance tires; replace worn parts; check fluids.
• Complete state inspections where applicable.
• Maintain quality, safety, and customer service standards.

We're looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Wake Forest, NC area.

About the Position

As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep our customers safely on the road.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service

Qualifications

To be eligible, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs

Preferred:

State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements

Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair. Mechanics must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
