Pep Boys / Mavis Tire - Automotive Mechanics in the Philadelphia area is seeking experienced automotive mechanics for full-time roles. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a range of maintenance and repair services to keep customers safely on the road.

Responsibilities include brakes, suspension, oil changes, tire work, and ensuring quality and safety standards. Benefits include insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training.
• Own the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs.
• Preferred ASE Certifications (G1, A4, A5) and state inspection license(s).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services.
• Undercar repairs including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering.
• Oil and filter changes, check fluids, and replace worn parts.
• Complete state inspections where applicable.
• Mount, rotate, and balance tires while maintaining safety standards.

We're looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Philadelphia, PA area.

About the Position

As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep our customers safely on the road.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service

Qualifications

To be eligible, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs

Preferred: State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements

Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair. Mechanics must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
