PEP BOYS / Mavis Tire — Philadelphia area automotive service centers are hiring an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, including brakes, suspensions, tires, and oil changes. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Must have personal tools to perform repairs.
• Preferred ASE certifications including G1, A4, and A5.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive maintenance and repair services.
• Durably perform undercar repairs: brakes, struts, suspension, steering.
• Diagnose vehicle maintenance needs and replace worn parts.
• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, and maintain quality standards.
• Mount, rotate, and balance tires; assist with state inspections where applicable.
• Uphold Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service.

We're looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Philadelphia, PA area.

About the Position

As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep our customers safely on the road.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service

Qualifications

To be eligible, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs

Preferred:

State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements

Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair. Mechanics must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
