Job Title: PeopleSoft NA Payroll Functional Consultant

Location: Remote

Duration: Full-Time (5 year contract)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled PeopleSoft HCM North American Payroll Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in PeopleSoft Payroll, particularly with the North American Payroll module, and have experience in configuration, implementation, and support of payroll systems. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and technical teams to ensure payroll processes run efficiently, comply with regulations, and meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing and Support:

    • Manage and execute payroll processes for North American regions using PeopleSoft Payroll.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

  • System Configuration and Maintenance:

    • Configure and maintain PeopleSoft North American Payroll modules, including tax updates, earnings, deductions, and benefits.

    • Implement new payroll functionalities and enhancements as required by the business.

  • Implementation and Upgrades:

    • Support PeopleSoft Payroll implementations, upgrades, and patching activities.

    • Participate in the end-to-end testing process, including user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Collaboration and Training:

    • Work closely with HR, IT, and finance teams to integrate payroll processes with other modules, such as HR, Benefits, and Time & Labor.

    • Provide training and support to end users on payroll processes and system usage.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Prepare detailed documentation for payroll processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

    • Generate payroll reports and analytics to meet compliance and business needs.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience with PeopleSoft North American Payroll, including implementation and support.

    • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft 9.x (9.2 preferred) and PeopleTools.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax compliance for the U.S. and/or Canada.

    • Proficiency in PeopleSoft Query, SQR, and Application Engine.

    • Analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving payroll-related issues.

    • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Time & Labor integration.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM payroll or experience with transitioning PeopleSoft Payroll to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with reporting tools like BI Publisher and SQL.
