Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead requirements management, software engineering, and testing across major development and integration initiatives. The role collaborates with product, systems, and service design teams, and may own high-value services or products.

Responsibilities include defining project scope, ensuring enterprise architectures, and guiding change-release and risk management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Must possess certifications such as CSD, CSM, CSDP, CSSLP, AWS Developer, Azure Developer, CSTP.

Responsibilities

• Leads requirements management, software engineering, system testing, and acceptance testing across all stages for complex software initiatives.
• May own high-value services and/or products and lead large project definitions within business objectives.
• Drafts and maintains software support processes and documentation; prioritizes incidents and conducts root cause analysis.
• Develops testing criteria and designs test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.
• Plans user experience design activities ensuring usability and accessibility requirements are met.
• Maintains tools and documentation for system information; audits complex systems for standards compliance.
• Oversees quality and safety assessments with cross-functional teams; advises on assurance activities.
• Manages supplier relationships and contributes to RFP/RFIs and SLAs; monitors KPIs.
