NewtonX is seeking a People & Talent Specialist in New York City to help shape, operate, and scale our People programs. You will partner with the Head of People and team leaders to improve onboarding, learning & development, performance management, and employee experience in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience across onboarding, People Operations, performance, learning and development, employee experience, and culture.

NewtonX (600+ clients like TikTok, Microsoft, Salesforce, Bain, Figma and many more) is a research intelligence company helping organizations make better business decisions and train better AI models through verified human intelligence.

We turn specialized human expertise into reliable business decisions (e.g., product launches, marketing strategy, brand reputation tracking, M&A due diligence) and AI training data (frontier model improvements and evals).

We have several million domain experts that we have sourced over the last few years (150+ industries including finance, legal, coding, tax & accounting, healthcare, semiconductors, cybersecurity, STEM and more).

We have worked with AI Labs and Enterprises on topics ranging from sourcing senior electrical and SW engineers for a chip design benchmark to pediatricians and psychiatrists for clinical data to ML engineers and PhD-level statisticians proficient in 3D modeling.

We are looking for an agile, motivated, people-focused individual to join our People team as a People & Talent Specialist. This role will work closely with the Head of People to help shape, deliver, and improve our People programs and processes. The individual will also partner with NewtonX teams & leaders to promote the NewtonX culture and create an exceptional employee experience. This is a hybrid role located in New York City.

In this role you will

• Help shape, drive, and improve NewtonX’s People & Talent employee life cycle through programs and processes from onboarding, learning & development, performance management, & more!

• Develop and implement initiatives to continue enhancing our NewtonX culture & community, diversity & inclusion efforts, and engage employees

• Proactively identify opportunities and ways to further automate and improve efficiency of our People processes

• Serve as a point of contact for employees and help to resolve People operations questions (e.g., benefits, policies, etc.) and/or other employee-related concerns

• Provide a stellar employee experience and enhance our NewtonX brand

Who you are

We are looking for a motivated and organized individual, with HR / HRIS / People Operations / Talent Management experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment.

• 2+ years of experience working across various People domains (e.g., Onboarding, People Operations, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Employee Experience, Diversity Equality & Inclusion, Culture)

• Strong business acumen, critical thinker, and creative problem-solver

• Bias for action, organized, process-driven and detail-oriented

• Ability to form strong, trusted relationships at all levels of an organization

• Self-driven, embodies ownership, passionate, and energetic

• Growth mindset and a desire to learn, develop and be involved.

• Not afraid to iterate and improve legacy processes or ineffective methods

• Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Competitive compensation with a total compensation range of $80k-$90k. (Please note that salary and compensation may vary based on skills, experience, performance, and location.)
