Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a People Consultant based in San Diego to support People Managers across the West Coast. The role focuses on providing strategic HR guidance, policy advice, and partner with HRBPs to enhance the employee experience.

The successful candidate will bring 6+ years of HR experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in people processes and employee relations considerations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of HR experience, preferably in an international, matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated success in working effectively with senior leaders to influence decision-making.
• Strong business and analytical acumen, along with problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance and support on complex workforce matters and HR policy.
• Proactively develop and implement strategies to upskill new People Managers and provide support to experienced People Managers navigating HR processes and issues.
• Exercise discretion and sound judgment to determine the most effective path to resolution.
• Identify proactive HR interventions using diagnostics, data, and business insight to support local business objectives.
• Coordinate end-to-end delivery of global priorities with People Services teams while improving the employee experience.
• Develop and maintain understanding of California employment legislation and market practices to ensure compliant advice.
