Job summary

Westpark Springs, a Lifepoint Health facility in Texas, is seeking a People Services Director who will serve as the senior HR leader, partnering with executives to align workforce strategies with operational goals. You will lead engagement, retention, and culture initiatives while overseeing labor relations and staffing plans.

The role reports to the CEO, with a focus on building a high-performing, compliant HR function across the hospital’s 200+ staff, and ensuring a people-first culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Three years of human resources experience required.
  • Two years of healthcare HR experience preferred.
  • One year of behavioral health experience preferred.
  • De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • Certifications (SPHR/PHR/SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP) preferred.

This is more than an HR leadership role. It's an opportunity to shape the future of healthcare in Texas by nurturing a positive, engaged and high performing workforce. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with C‑Suite, the Director of People Services plays a critical role in fostering a people first culture that supports more than 200 dedicated employees. With one highly functioning HR support professional as a direct report, this leader will drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, support recruitment & retention, and ensure alignment with the hospital's strategic objectives.

How you’ll contribute

APeople Services Director who excels in this role:

  • Serve as the senior HR leader for the hospital and strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to align workforce strategies with business and operational goals.
  • Lead employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and culture initiatives.
  • Oversee labor relations activities, including administration of collective bargaining agreements and union partnerships.
  • Participate in and/or lead union negotiations, grievance management, and employee relations matters.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Direct recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and retention efforts to support staffing needs.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, policies, and healthcare regulations.
  • Oversee HR audits, reporting, documentation, leaves of absence, accommodations, and policy administration.
  • Analyze workforce metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improved engagement, retention, and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement action plans based on workforce data and organizational needs.
  • Lead employee development, leadership development, and training initiatives across the facility.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets and HR‑related expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies while supporting a people‑first culture.
What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree, preferably in the areas of Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited school required.
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM‑SCP), or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM‑CP) certification preferred.
  • Three years of human resources experience required.
  • Two years of healthcare human resources experience preferred.
  • One year of behavioral health experience preferred.
  • De‑escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.

Schedule:

This is a Full Time, Exempt position. Full comprehensive Benefit and Total Rewards package eligible.
